Youth Voice Amplified at AMCHP
Adelle is a Vermont writer and a member of AMCHP’s Youth Voice Amplified subcommittee. At just 18, she began a grant proposal writing internship at a local regional planning commission. She managed a team of over fourteen municipalities and organizations during the Working Communities Challenge: a grant competition supported by the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston and created to build stronger rural communities and economies. This taught her steps for systemic change, the power of shared stories paired with data, the interconnectedness of public health issues, and more. In 2020, she won a Community Impact Scholarship from UC Berkeley for her work with the online community Young Writers Project. She completed UC Berkeley’s Professional Writing Program, and she is enrolled in Boston University’s Certificate in Professional Fundraising. She hopes to use writing and fundraising to advance climate change action and neurodiversity resources — among other efforts — in her community and beyond.
