Joni Hollis has specialized in children’s behavioral health needs throughout her nursing career. This focus and passion came about as a result of lived experience, in trying to navigate a system of care for her own child with behavioral health needs. Ms. Hollis received her Bachelors in Nursing in 1997 from FSU; Graduate Certificate in Children’s Mental Health in 2007 and a Masters in the Science of Nursing in 2013 from USF with a certification as a Clinical Nurse Leader. Ms. Hollis has implemented behavioral health programs at the community, regional and now state level. This includes the implementation of five regional Behavioral Health Hubs that join together to form a statewide pediatric behavioral health collaborative, with efforts underway to build two additional regional Behavioral Health Hubs. This work includes a focus on quality improvement to help ensure access and quality to pediatric behavioral health services.
