Executive Director
SisterWeb San Francisco Community Doula Network
San Francisco, California
I have over twenty years as an entrepreneur and business developer. I’m both a co-founder and the Executive Director of Sisterweb, A Community Doula Network in San Francisco, CA. In my role, I drive SisterWeb’s swift programmatic and fiscal expansions. I also operate Marna Mama Doula, which provides private doula consultations and services to women and families of color in the San Francisco Bay Area (and nationwide).
Additionally, I have built an extensive career in the printing and design industry. I’m skilled in Copywriting, Print & Graphic Design, Branding Consulting, Event Planning, Project Management, Advertising & Marketing, Business Development Consulting, Financial Planning, and business management.
Born, raised, and residing in San Francisco’s Bayview District, I began my love affair with childbirth and the desire to support pregnant women over eighteen years ago after the birth of my daughter. My first-hand experience in pregnancy, childbirth, and motherhood provides a nurturing insight into this sacred and uniquely feminine experience.
My training is built on the legacy of the traditional African-American “Granny” Midwife, who was a pioneer in her community. I have special education/training on health disparities of women of color and especially African American women and the communities they live in.
