Ms. Folake Eniola is Senior Research Advisor at the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene. She led the evaluation of the Maternity Hospitals Quality Improvement Project that engages multisectoral stakeholders to reduce severe maternal morbidity and maternal mortality across hospitals and surrounding communities in NYC. Ms. Eniola also supports maternal health equity projects within the NYC Health Department, including NYC’s Maternal Morbidity and Mortality Review Committee, and Severe Maternal Morbidity project, where she oversaw the completion of a study aimed at elevating the voices of women that experienced Severe Maternal Morbidities during childbirth. Ms. Eniola received a Bachelor’s in Community Health and Sociology from Tufts University, and a Master’s in Public Health with a concentration in Epidemiology from Columbia University, where she is also currently completing a Doctorate in the same field. She has over fifteen years of experience working in public health program implementation, planning and evaluation at the NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, as well as in several global settings.
