Carla Snodgrass currently serves as Deputy Director, Child Health, Division of Family Health and Wellness. In this role she has oversight of Tennessee’s Evidence Based Home Visiting Programs; Injury Prevention Initiatives including Maternal Mortality, Infant Mortality, Traumatic Brain Injury and Suicide Prevention; Children and Youth with Special Health Care Needs; TDH Call Center; and CHANT, TDH’s care coordination system for children and families. She is a member of the state coordinating committee for the ACE initiative, Building Strong Brains, and chairs the Tennessee Department of Health Strategic Goal Team on addressing ACEs and developing policies and procedures to provide trauma informed care. Ms. Snodgrass is the current recipient of the Tennessee Commission on Children and Youth Senator Douglas Henry Outstanding Public Official Award, in recognition of her outstanding and unparalleled courage, compassion and commitment as a champion for all Tennessee children.
