Kate Schedel has spent most of her career serving the maternal and child health population both internationally and domestically. Her professional work began by conducting research on infant and maternal mortality in the Dominican Republic. She then lived and worked in Guatemala, Mexico, and El Salvador - understanding the current health systems and services for families and helping making improvements. Kate then served in Peace Corps Albania for two and a half years where she worked as a health educator for the regional public health directorate. She returned to the US and obtained her MPH at Yale University, where Kate worked with partners in the city of New Haven to reduce teenage pregnancy among foster youth. She later served as the first Director of Programming and Evaluation for Timmy Global Health, who provides pop-up primary care clinics and long term health referral solutions in Central and South America. Kate now serves as the Director of Maternal and Child Health Programs and is changing the way Title V supports Indiana families.
