Jacqueline Whelan is the Director of Care Integration at Children’s Wisconsin. Jacqueline obtained her BS in Human & Organizational Development and Spanish from Vanderbilt University and started her career in consulting. She supported technology enablement for Federally Qualified Health Centers which cultivated an interest in health equity and population health. Jacqueline joined Children’s Wisconsin in 2012 in a project management role, where her support of clinicians during their electronic health record implementation inspired her to obtain a Master of Nursing degree and Clinical Nurse Leader certification at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Jacqueline continues a front life staff nursing role part-time which continuously reminds her of the importance of culturally competent and equitable care. Jacqueline is passionate about connecting people across the care continuum to deliver value-based, equitable, family-centered care. She and her team support making it easier for front line healthcare workers to connect kids and families to needed health system and community resources and services. At home, Jacqueline loves spending time with her husband and two energetic kids. She likes to play volleyball, holds daily dance parties to tire out her kiddos, and loves the outdoors.
