Angela Miney is the University of Florida Pediatric Pulmonary Center (PPC) Family Partner, an MCHB funded program. She comes to this role as the parent of a young adult with a chronic health condition. Angela works with leadership at UF Health to incorporate the patient voice into all systems from the bedside to the boardroom. She mentors students and faculty on patient and family centered care as part of the PPC’s core curriculum, and has presented at local and national conferences. Angela works with the Family Partners in the other Pediatric Pulmonary Training programs to develop a common family leader curriculum. In collaboration with Florida’s state Title V office, she coordinates the Florida Family Leader Network, whose goals are to provide networking and training opportunities for family leaders. In 2021, Angela received the MERLE MCPHERSON FAMILY LEADERSHIP AWARD for exemplary contributions to further family/professional collaboration within the state Title V program and AMCHP.
