Kendra is the Program Director of Integrated Systems of Services at the Tennessee Department of Health. Kendra obtained her Bachelor of Social Work Degree in 2013 from the University of North Alabama, Magnum Cum Lauda and obtaining her Masters in Publich Health at Liberty University. As a Medical Social Worker for eight years, she has a unique competency and passion regarding youth, family engagement and involvement. Kendra worked in various state departments as a Family Service Worker, Foster Care Director, and Managed Care Specialist. She strives to use collaboration tactics to develop new ways to assist children and youth with special health care needs and their families. Kendra currently oversees a youth engagement workgroup and youth advisory council at the TN Department of Health. This workgroup is composed of numerous state and community representatives serving youth with special health care needs. Lastly, Kendra serves on several state councils that focus on decision making, program design, and policy change that affects the special population served.
