Dr. Lisa Klein has over forty years of professional nursing, management and research experience focused on the care of women and newborns. Her roles include clinical nurse specialist for labor, delivery, mother-baby, neonatal intensive care and pediatrics units. She has been a nurse manager for an obstetrics and gynecology clinic, a pediatric pulmonary outpatient unit and a women's and children's department in a community hospital. Dr. Klein was a research investigator in genomic and microbiome research hoping to learn ways to improve health for mothers and children. She received her Bachelors of Science in Nursing from Georgetown University and her Masters of Science as a Clinical Nurse Specialist in Maternal and Newborn Nursing from University of Maryland. She received her Doctor of Nursing Practice from Marymount University. She is currently the Program Coordinator for Maternal Mortality Review at the Delaware Child Death Review Commission.
