Bethlyn Vergo Houlihan, MSW, MPH, acts as project director for the CMC CoIIN project. Bethlyn has published and presented widely and brings a passion for person- and family-centered partnership to her work. Areas of expertise include implementation science, community partnership, and complex health and social needs. She has partnered to develop and test community-based interventions that address social determinants of health to improve health equity, self-management, and health-related quality of life. Bethlyn worked for 18+ years at the BU School of Public Health on one of 14 large federal center grants for the spinal cord injury community, as co-director of dissemination and knowledge translation. She has co-developed community-based person-led interventions for health self- management, directing successful randomized trials, including peer coaching via phone. A current peer coach randomized pilot project focuses on youth with physical disabilities to increase physical activity.
