Emerging Threats Support Analyst

Ms. Lewis serves as a support analyst for the Emerging Threats Team in CDC’s National Center for Birth Defects and Developmental Disabilities. Her work with the Emerging Threats Team began over three years ago on the US Zika Pregnancy and Infant Registry during the Zika Emergency Response. Ms. Lewis is an epidemiologist that works to assist jurisdictions in collecting data on mothers and infants that are included in the Zika Pregnancy and Infant Registry. Her work on this team has taken her from American Samoa to Texas to US Virgin Islands to assist in training staff and abstracting medical records. She is currently working with various jurisdictions to begin using the existing Zika platform to address new or emerging threats on mothers and babies. Ms. Lewis earned her MPH in Epidemiology and Biostatistics from the Keck School of Medicine at the University of Southern California.
