Dr. Erica Anstey (pronouns she/her) is a contractor with McKing Consulting Corporation. She works at CDC on the Maternal, Infant, and Toddler Nutrition team in the Division of Nutrition, Physical Activity, and Obesity (DNPAO) translating research into guidance. She received her PhD in public health from the University of South Florida in Tampa, has a Master’s degree in women’s studies, and is a certified lactation counselor (CLC). Erica’s research interests include breastfeeding management issues, maternity care practices that support breastfeeding, breastfeeding disparities, and family-centered care. She currently serves as a subject matter expert in breastfeeding, leads the development of a range of products and web content, works on the Maternity Practices in Infant Nutrition and Care (mPINC) survey, and studies surveillance data to track breastfeeding disparities.
