Research Assistant
University of South Florida
As an MPH student and Graduate Research Assistant at the University of South Florida College of Public Health, I’m working with a diverse group of healthcare professionals to understand how to best address the disparities vulnerable populations face within public health. I work on projects involving birth defects surveillance, qualitative analysis of home visiting programs such as MIECHV, fetal and infant mortality analysis, local and statewide analyses of occupational health, engaging community advisory committees, and assessing access to care for vulnerable populations. I am passionate about actively working with the community to reduce disparities, improve health outcomes, and sustain community-based interventions in maternal and child health. Recently, I attended the American Public Health Association’s annual conference as Delta Omega finalist and look forward to continuing connecting with students and professionals with a joint interest in working to establish health equity.
