Washington County Coalition for Children
Susan’s 40 year career in maternal and child health spans six states and a variety of settings, but her work has always focused on serving young children and families. For the last 20 years, she has led and facilitated the work of the Washington County Coalition for Children, the region’s child advocacy organization tackling local community health issues. Children's mental health has been a priority for the Coalition and Susan has overseen several innovative initiatives for the Coalition, including Feelin' Groovy (emotional literacy), Chalk It Up Against Bullying (bullying prevention), and The Greatest 8 (mental health skills for a lifetime of mental wellness!). Susan is a nationally accredited Youth Mental Health First Aid Instructor. She obtained her Master’s degree in Social Work from Washington University in St. Louis and has a certificate in Human Service Agency Management from Boston University..
