Valerie graduated with her MPH in Epidemiology from Emory University and her BS in Microbiology from Rutgers University. She is currently pursuing her Doctor of Public Health (DrPH) degree in Community Health and Prevention at the Dornsife School of Public Health at Drexel University. Her broad research interests are in infectious diseases and maternal and child health. Her dissertation research focuses on understanding the utility of prenatal care in improving both prenatal and infant vaccination uptake.
