Doula Support Program Coordinator

Ms. Grasty is the Doula Support Program (DSP) Coordinator with the Philadelphia Department of Public Health, Division of Maternal, Child & Family Health. The DSP focuses on supporting pregnant women and parents with substance use disorders including opioid use disorder. Amirah attended the West Chester University, Pennsylvania, majoring in Kinesiology and a double minor in Gender and Women's Studies and French. She previously worked at Oak Street Health as an Outreach Executive, focusing on the health of Medicare recipients in Philadelphia. She is a prenatal and postpartum doula, having trained with the International Doula Institute. She is currently training to become a certified Herbalist with the Chestnut School of Herbal Medicine.
