Graduate Research Assistant

Imani is a second year Master of Public Health student in the Maternal, Child, and Family Health concentration at Gillings School of Global Public Health. She has worked as a graduate research assistant on both the Evaluation Team and the Implementation Coaching Team for the Improving Community Outcomes for Maternal and Child Health (ICO4MCH) initiative in North Carolina. Her research interests lie at the intersection of child and adolescent development and mental health. She is interested in exploring the impact of the built environment on health outcomes and the implementation of health equity interventions. She received her BA in Psychology from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University and served as a Peace Corps volunteer in Mozambique from 2018-2020.
