Georgette McMichael (MA Counseling and Youth and Family Systems) is an educator for Nurse-Family Partnership where she has worked for the last 15 years. Prior to coming to NFP, she had a private counseling practice, taught at Metropolitan State University Denver and Denver Seminary and worked for other non-profits both in the U.S. and overseas. Some of the areas of expertise she contributes to include Motivational Interviewing, Therapeutic Relationship, Compassion Fatigue, trauma and its impact on adolescent brain and maternal role development, and nurse health, Reflective Practice and Stages of Change.
