Research Scientist

Ms. Heisey is a Research Scientist with the New York State Department of Health, Bureau of Women, Infant and Adolescent Health. She works in the Data Analysis & Research Unit conducting public health research and supporting program implementation through data collection and report, continuous quality improvement, and evaluation. Ms. Heisey received her undergraduate degree in Chemical Engineering. Her work as a project engineer built strong problem solving and analytical skills, which she brings to her work in public health. Ms. Heisey received a Master of Science degree in Epidemiology from the University at Albany. She has worked in multiple roles to evaluate and improve birth outcomes for birthing people and infants.
