Jeff Schiff, MD, MBA is Senior Scholar at AcademyHealth focusing on improving the outcomes for those with limited resources.
He served as the Chief Medical Officer for Minnesota Human Services (Medicaid) from 2006-19. His portfolio included quality measurement, delivery system redesign, and benefit policy.
In measurement he has had the honor of serving as co-chair of the AHRQ committee that created the first national set of Medicaid core measures for children in 2009. He has been involved in measure development and measure implementation.
In delivery system redesign he has been a developer of the Minnesota health care home program and the accountable care organization.
He is a past chair of the Medicaid Medical Directors network and a past president of the Minnesota Chapter of the AAP. He is a pediatrician/emergency medicine physician. He received an MBA in 2005.
He is committed to creating an equitable patient and family centered learning heath care system.
