Shunaiber Tauhid is an Epidemiologist at the West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources, in the Office of Maternal, Child and Family Health- Right From The Start (RFTS) Home Visitation Program. She is also part of a Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) facility, in West Virginia, where she conducts group therapy sessions for patients overcoming addiction. Shunaiber has a Master of Public Health degree from West Virginia University. She is a Master Certified Tobacco Treatment Specialist from University of Massachusetts and Certified Domestic Violence Specialist-II. Shunaiber also holds a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree from Dow Medical College, Pakistan. In the past, she has worked in the tobacco resource division at a public health research and consulting firm in Boston, MA, and coordinated clinical research trials in the Stroke Division of the Neurology Department at BIDMC, Harvard Medical School, Boston, MA. Recently, Shunaiber was accepted in the Doctorate of Public Health Program (Dr.PH) and is looking forward to starting in the summer of 2022.
