Family Health Initiatives
Barbara Heinz is a NJ Licensed Social Worker who has worked at the Southern NJ Perinatal Cooperative and Family Health Initiatives for fifteen years. She is currently the Program Coordinator and Lead Tobacco Treatment Specialist of Mom’s Quit Connection for Families and Quit for Kids programs. She also manages the Rural Health Community Initiative Grant to increase tobacco education, screening and referrals to cessation programs in rural communities. Barbara is a seasoned trainer of the Ask, Advise and Refer: Brief Intervention Model and regularly conducts presentations to providers about the benefits of tobacco screening, education and treatment interventions. Ms. Heinz holds a National Certificate in Tobacco Treatment Practice.
