AMCHP Graduate Student Epidemiology Program
Jackie Lanning is a 2021 AMCHP Graduate Student Epidemiology Program (GSEP) alum and a Master of Public Health student at Emory University specializing in epidemiology and social determinants of health. Prior to her work as a GSEP intern, Jackie was an epidemiology assistant with the CDC’s National Center of Birth Defects and Developmental Disabilities and an applied data science intern at SAS. She is currently a study coordinator at Emory University. She graduated in 2020 from NC State University where she earned her B.A. in Biology. During her time at NC State, she led student organizations focused on menstrual equity and reproductive justice. She was recognized for her activism and service by being awarded the Equity for Women Award in 2020. Jackie has experience in survey development, data management, quantitative and spatial analysis. Her public health interests include maternal and reproductive health, environmental justice, and health equity.
