Dr .Anupama Viswanathan DDS, BDS ,
I am a current Third-year Periodontic Resident at the University of Pittsburgh. After completing my Bachelor's in Dental Surgery, I worked at a private practice in Mumbai for 5 years. I attended dental school at the University of Colorado. I always wanted to be a periodontist, and my research work with laser and photodynamic therapy only cemented my resolve. After graduating from Dental school, I started my speciality training in periodontics at the University of Pittsburgh. I am the Student representative for the American Academy Periodontology Foundation at University. As a part of my Masters's research project, my colleagues and I are working on a pilot study checking Immunomodulatory therapies on a murine model for preventing peri-implantitis. My current poster is based on the same ongoing project.
I love meeting new people and socializing. I love travelling, hiking, and experiencing new cultures and cuisines. I am a plant mom and a wine enthusiast.
