Dr. Juhi R. Uttamani is an Asst. Professor at University Of Iowa. She obtained her PhD in Oral Immunology and Periodontics Residency from the University Of Illinois at Chicago. Her research focusses on identification and characterization of biomolecules and inflammatory markers that modulate periodontal disease and its resolution. Her doctoral dissertation project entitled “The role of miRNAs in the resolution of periodontal inflammation: A therapeutic intervention study in humans”. She has been a proud recipient of the AAP Nobel Biocare Scholarship at the American Academy of Periodontology 2020 and a finalist of the AAP Educator Scholarship and the prestigious AADR Hatton award 2022 and Balint Orban Memorial Competition, AAP 2020. She has been deemed fortunate to be one of the very few applicants accepted for the NIH’s BD2K program on ‘Big-Data Translational Omics Research’.
