Sergeant Justin Beetz started his career in law enforcement with the Hernando County Sheriff's Office as a Detention Deputy in 2013 and has since became dual certified for both corrections and patrol. Sgt. Beetz also is employed by the Pasco Hernando State College as an instructor where he spends time teaching law enforcement recruits various topics. Sgt. Beetz spent time in the training division for 3 years and has had the opportunity to attend a plethora of training strictly dedicated to Officer Wellness and PTSD in Law Enforcement. Some of these training's include Dr. Kevin Gilmartin's "Emotional Survival for Law Enforcement" and also Dr. Grant McDougal's "PTSD Train the Trainer." Sgt. Beetz has taught many classes in law enforcement and correctional conferences dedicated to Officer Wellness and PTSD. Sgt. Beetz also has developed the "Officer Wellness Program" that has been a great success with the Hernando County Sheriff's Office and has made an impact on many officers. This program includes the "Officer Wellness Sessions" that Sgt. Beetz integrated into the Hernando County Sheriff's Office.
