Ron Miller is currently the Custody Division ADA Compliance Manager for the Orange County Sheriff’s Department (OCSD). He received his ADA Coordinator Certification from the University of Missouri and is the lead instructor for the ADA in Corrections courses taught at the Sandra Hutchens Training Center in Orange, California.
Before his current assignment, Ron served 27 years as a Deputy Sheriff with OCSD. During the last eight years of his career, he was assigned to the ADA Compliance Unit and served as the ADA Compliance Deputy for the Central Jails and Intake Release Center (IRC). Ron personally interviewed, tracked, and monitored over 4000 inmates with various disabilities and was intimately involved in resolving litigation efforts during the Pierce v. County of Orange American’s with Disabilities Act (ADA) lawsuit.
