David is a justice consultant with the architecture and engineering firm HDR. David specializes in strategic master planning, needs assessments, programming, and design of criminal justice facilities. He has been involved in over 75+ justice planning and design projects in his 30-year career. His passion is helping clients achieve their goals through thoughtful and structured processes in the pre-design and design phases of projects.
David currently serves as a technical resource provider on the subject of jail planning and design for the National Institute of Corrections (NIC), US Department of Justice. In addition, his articles on justice planning and design have been published in industry journals including American Jails, Correctional News, and Sheriff Magazine.
