Tactical Medicine for Corrections provides participants with an overview of TECCC principles and how they apply to a correctional environment—from treatment in high risk environments, casualty assessments, and the common interventions used in high risk (trauma) medicine in a pro-hospital care environment. This workshop includes how to integrate TECCC into in-service training, individual first aid kits, and MCI response kits. Presenters discuss collaborative training with jail/prison medical providers and EMS personnel. Training concludes with the danger Fentanyl poses and how to recognize an overdose. Also discussed are the use of Naloxone in corrections and reporting recommendations.
