Perianal disease affects one-quarter of patients with Crohn's disease and anorectal fistulas are one of the most common manifestations of this disease form. The evaluation and management of anorectal fistulas requires a multidisciplinary approach employing endoscopy, imaging, medical therapy, and operative intervention to ensure the greatest likelihood of a satisfactory outcome and avoidance of a permanent stoma.
