Social determinants of health (SDH) are significant contributors to health disparities and inequities. Education regarding SDH is imperative for the understanding of health inequities and person centered practice, yet a recent scoping review revealed a lack of comprehensive inclusion in SDH in dental curricula. The lack of purposeful, comprehensive, and consistent inclusion of SDH across the dental curriculum leaves graduates underprepared to competently address the realities of SDH in practice. This session will present a framework for assessing the inclusion of SDH across the curriculum, and the results from this evaluation. Participants can apply this framework at their own institutions.
