Artificial intelligence (AI) is the simulation of human intelligence performed by machines programmed to imitate human behavior. This seminar discusses how AI integrates educational, clinical, and radiographical data efficiently to enhance the quality of preclinical/clinical dental education and dental practice. AI-assisted remote simulation-based learning (SBL) and online data collection on student performances can promote individualized learning. By working with the existing digital technology, such as 3-dimensional cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT), computer aided design/computer aided manufacturing (CAD/CAM) and intraoral imaging, AI can assist in diagnosis and treatment planning and facilitate clinical procedures.
