Dental radiography is a precious diagnostic tool not only frequently complementing clinical examination but also for fundamental dental education. The traditional way of teaching radiographic analysis is primarily based on two-dimensional images such as intraoral and panoramic radiographs. The introduction of CBCT has been of tremendous value in diagnosis and treatment planning and becoming the standard of care in the field of dentistry. Cone-beam CT provides 3D information of the complex craniofacial anatomy and offers excellent visualization of the maxillofacial structures. Participants will learn how to incorporate CBCT hands-on sessions in the pre-doctoral curriculum.
