In a culture of perfection in colleges and universities, students often have trouble seeking help. When they do end up in being crises or having a breakdown in a faculty's office, the faculty member may not know what to say to the student. In this session, I will go over some helpful languages faculty members can use to address students in crisis. After attending the session, faculty members should have the basic tools in their toolbox to comfort students until they can seek professional help.
