Studies suggest case-based learning promotes deeper understanding and better retention of material. COVID-19 required creative solutions to help students attain clinical skills, such as diagnosis and treatment planning, with decreased patient contact. You will learn about a combination of synchronous and asynchronous approaches used to help students unpack the decisions made within the black box of the seasoned practitioner’s brain. Evidence-based practices about case-based learning will be discussed. You will see examples of incorporating clinical cases into the curriculum, brainstorm ways to integrate cases at your institutions, and interact with presenters in a question and answer session.
