There are a myriad of legal and ethical challenges facing providers of oral health care. New providers need to be prepared to rise to these challenges especially those surrounding emerging issues. With a packed curriculum it is difficult to find space where these topics can be brought to student/resident attention and appropriate resources referenced. Participants will explore “hot topics” related to legal and ethical challenges in dental practice and develop a list of strategies of how to address and integrate discussion of them into the curriculum for dental hygiene students, dental students and residents.
