Teledentistry increases access to care for vulnerable populations (children, special needs individuals, and the elderly). This live demo will give participants the opportunity to see how teledentistry software can be used in public health programs to connect students, hygienists, and dentists to vulnerable populations. This teledental approach allows hygiene/D1 students to be in-the-field with hygienists examining patients and providing preventive services, D2/D3 students to diagnose and treatment plan at the college with dentists, and hygiene/D4 students to provide necessary services. Teledentistry brings students and preventive services to vulnerable populations and vulnerable populations to the clinic if needed.
