This presentation demonstrates the use of VR teaching videos to enhance acquisition of surgical skills by virtually placing the student at the surgeon's point of view. For each skill set, the presenters discuss how the videos are being used in class and how mental imaging and cognitive rehearsal can support these teaching methods. They also discuss how making use of the VR videos improved student readiness for laboratory sessions, thereby optimizing use of class time for hands-on practice and individual teaching.
