Transphyseal screws have recently been described as a technique to promote healing of medial femoral condylar subchondral lucencies in horses. The technique has been shown to reduce lameness in approximately 80% of horses treated before the establishment of osteoarthritis. The speaker will present the technique and discuss details of its application.
