Cup orientation is critically important in THR to reduce the risk of postoperative dislocation. Any movement of the patient in the operating table due to surgical maneuvers would alter the intraoperative perception of the orientation of the cup. Therefore, for many years the use of fluoroscopy to check the patient's position before starting surgery and after partial impaction has become a routine procedure that offers me peace of mind and confidence in this delicate surgery.
