This seminar provides an overview of several key elements contributing to burnout among clinicians. Participants learn how to assess professional burnout and fulfillment and address specific interventions. Participants explore the motivations behind why surgeons choose different career paths and how these choices influence work-life balance. In addition, participants learn the role that sleep plays in performance and surgeon well-being. Finally, an interactive panel discussion explores the significant obstacles affecting the surgeon’s quality of life and brainstorms strategies for dealing with these challenges.
