The ability of small animal surgeons to perform at their optimal level and deliver consultation, treatment options, and surgical therapy to their clients and patients is directly dependent on the surgical team that surrounds them. In this lecture, the roles, recruitment, training, implementation, and retention of team members is examined and discussed. The ability of the built team to work together long-term and successfully achieve team goals is explored with speakers suggestions on achieving these goals in an effective and efficient fashion.
