Stifle injuries are common amongst western performance horses. Understanding of the functional anatomy of the stifle can help lead to further understanding of these injuries and potentially help in better diagnostic and treatment options. This lecture gives a brief review of some of the pertinent literature and its practical application to the evaluation of stifle injuries.
