Basic surgical techniques for brachycephalic airway conditions will be described. Emphasis will be placed on early intervention, and we will focus on the primary techniques performed in young dogs. Specifically, the Trader's Technique for nares trims, palate trims to the appropriate length, and when to consider removing saccules. The proper technique for saccule removal will also be discussed.
