This lecture focuses on medical management and stabilization of blunt trauma patients prior to surgery or for those in which surgery will not occur. It covers trauma to the abdomen and thorax, and provides tips on deciding if surgery is warranted. Some focus is placed on managing hemorrhage into body cavities.
