The recent advancement of standing fracture repair in the horse remains controversial among surgeons. While some view it as a game-changing evolution, some believe that a satisfactory fracture repair cannot be achieved if the joint is not investigated, or the limb is still loaded. This session will aim to explore currently accepted techniques for standing fracture repair. Areas covered will include plans to ensure patient and personnel safety, potential intra- and postoperative complications, and outcomes following standing fracture repair.
