Heather Kloft is a first-year surgical resident at Louisiana State University. She received a bachelor’s degree in finance from Miami University, before commissioning as a Naval Officer with the United States Navy. She served seven years on active duty as a Surface Warfare Officer and Human Resources Officer, before transitioning into the United States Navy Reserves. She earned a doctorate in veterinary medicine from the University of Tennessee. After graduating with her doctorate, she completed a rotating internship and surgery specialty internship at IndyVet Emergency and Specialty Hospital. Her surgical interests include fractures and open wound management.
