Dr. Vaidehi V. Paranjape is a board certified specialist in Veterinary Anesthesia and Analgesia (Diplomate ACVAA) and an Assistant Professor of Anesthesiology and Pain Management at Virginia Tech Univeristy-Virginia Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine (VMCVM). Her research interests are centered on hemodynamic monitoring and assessment of fluid responsiveness in critically ill and anesthetized patients, hemodynamic effects of anesthetics and analgesics, and clinical pharmacology of anesthetics, analgesics, and anesthetic adjuncts. Dr. Paranjape develops her work in close partnership with other universities and organizations in the U.S. She holds a Bachelors in Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry from India, Master's degree in Veterinary Pharmacology and Toxicology from India, and Master's degree in Anesthesiology and Pain Management from Purdue University. She has completed a Critical Care and Anesthesiology Internship from Louisiana State University and a 3-year residency program in Anesthesia and Analgesia from University of Florida. Before joining VMCVM in 2019, she was a Clinical Assistant Professor at Texas A&M Univeristy. In her free time, Dr. Paranjape enjoys outdoor activities like kayaking, hiking, and travelling to new places and experiencing their culture.
