Camilla Andersen is a PhD student and veterinarian at the Equine Teaching Hospital at the University of Copenhagen, Denmark. Her PhD project is focused on integrin-selected mesenchymal stem cells and their potential regenerative and disease-modifying effects on osteoarthritis. The project has a special emphasis on in-vivo stem cell tracking. She received her degree in veterinary medicine from the University of Copenhagen in 2014, after which she completed a one-year equine internship at a private equine clinic (Veterinair Centrum Someren) in the Netherlands. Her research interests include regenerative medicine, equine osteoarthritis, and biomarkers for degenerative joint disease.
